Meet our team

 

Heather Ruth, Owner

.After leaving a high stress career that left her sick and tired, Heather made her way to teaching yoga and becoming the owner of Serenbe Yoga. Her journey to yoga began as a way to manage stress and gain physical strength. She received her Thai Yoga Therapist certification and 200 RYT in Costa Rica specializing in Restorative and Breathework, and attained her 300 RYT through The Maze Method, which focuses on alignment. She is also certified in Aerial Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and a certified Sound Bath Facilitator. She is the founder of Serenbe Goat Yoga, and mother to the stars of the show, her sweet 7 Nigerian Dwarf Goats. Heather's classes are light hearted and meditative in nature.

 

 
 

Stephanie Bernstein

Stephanie brings over 20 years of experience in yoga, movement and healing. With a basis in Alexander Technique, she received her original yoga teaching certification with Cyndi Lee at OM Yoga Center in New York City in 2001. While that training gave her a strong foundation in Shambala Buddhism and Mindfulness Meditation, Stephanie pursued her passion for yoga therapeutics. She loves working on an individual basis with students to address specific concerns. A bit of a gypsy throughout the years, Stephanie had the privilege of having studied with a great many master teachers and has taught in many places including New York, Boulder, Maui and San Francisco. While living and teaching in the San Francisco Area, she also ran her company, To-Go Ware and worked with Yoga Journal Magazine as a yoga model and as their sustainability blogger. These days, when not chasing her 3 children around, Stephanie teaches alignment focused classes that encourage self-inquiry, breathwork and mindfulness.

 

 
 

Jeny Mathis

 Jeny has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. Through her own practice she has come to understand that the mind-body-spirit connection is critical to wellbeing. She has worked in all kinds of settings bringing tools and practices to everyday people to help them slow down, be present and experience now the life they are working so hard to build or maintain. Those practices include mindfulness and meditation, yoga, and facilitated labyrinth walks. Her certifications include 200 hour RYT, Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Facilitator, and Aerial Yoga. Her hope is that with these tools and practices her students will become more aware, live more authentically and connect more deeply with themselves, each other and their communities.

Christine Provine

Christine is a senior Kriplau Yoga Instructor. For 12+ years she’s been teaching in studios around the Atlanta area and leading teacher trainings, workshops, retreats, and corporate, public, and private classes. Her classes are intuitively guided and offer an integrative yoga experience incorporating breathwork, meditation, elemental medicine, and asanas inspired by Universal, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga traditions. 

 
 

Brittany Sandlin

Brittany’s yoga journey began in 2015 when she started taking yoga classes as a stress management tool to deal with graduate school. She quickly fell in love with Power Vinyasa and found that it was her form of therapy. Brittany developed a strong desire to dive deeper into her practice and bring the transformational power of yoga to others. This started her journey of receiving her RYT-200 through Highland Yoga’s teacher training program in 2017. Brittany taught at Highland for 4 years before moving to Serenbe to seek out a more mindful way of living. Brittany’s mission as an instructor is to provide students with a moving meditation experience that emphasizes connecting breath with movement. She believes that the power of yoga lies in slowing down the mind and that movement is medicine.  With a background in ballet, she loves to incorporate poses that allow for expansion and creative, fluid transitions in her sequences. She hopes to create a non-judgmental space for you to show up, be on your mat, and be in the present, the only place where radical transformation can occur.

 
 

Liz Gabor

Elizabeth is a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, providing this remarkably effective yogic technology to further help people bring balance to body, mind, and spirit. Think of it as emotional and spiritual fitness. She incorporates meditation, imagery, breathwork, visualization, mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques into her work in order to create clarity, self-awareness, and stress reduction for her students. Elizabeth received extensive training for health care professionals at the world -renowned Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington D.C. and teaches mind-body skills to individuals, groups, and high school students.

 
 

Malinie Feeney

Join Malinie's transformative yoga classes to discover a new way of living that goes beyond the mat. As a dedicated yoga teacher, sound healer, and intuitive reader, Malinie blends her passion for literature, philosophy, and mind-body practices to offer a unique experience. Her classes are designed to help you develop strength, confidence, and empowerment through expanded awareness and direct physical experiences.
Malinie began her yoga journey as a form of physical therapy, only to uncover a path to mindfulness and holistic living. Since 2020, she has completed her 200-hour certification with YogaRenew and her 300-hour training with My Vinyasa Practice. Additionally, she has enhanced her practice with specialized sound healing training.
In Malinie's Vinyāsa classes, you'll embark on a journey of self-discovery and consciousness. Her sessions seamlessly integrate movement, strength, stillness, breath, and awareness, creating a balanced and enriching experience. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to yoga, Malinie's classes offer a space for personal growth and transformation.

 
 

Meagan myrick

Meagan Myrick spent the past two years in Mexico, immersing herself in spiritual exploration and learning from local medicine women and healers. This enriching journey has deepened her understanding of healing and inspired her mission to share the transformative power of sound therapy with others. With over seven years of personal exploration, hundreds of hours of sound baths, the completion of multiple Sound Healing Training programs, and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, Meagan is dedicated to creating safe, nurturing spaces that allow you to access the deepest parts of your being and experience profound relaxation and inner peace.
